ABOUT US

CWA/NETT Academy is CWA
CWA/NETT Academy is operated by CWA, in the President's office. Our unique position allows
us to see how times are changing for our members, and how management is preparing for the
future. New certification requirements, technology developments, and daily feedback from CWA
help us make curriculum selections. We are focused on your needs for success, not on
making a profit.*

Whether you are preparing for another position or brushing up on fundamentals, CWA/NETT
Academy delivers the technical training and resources you need to reach your goal.

*CWA/NETT Academy is a non-profit organization.

History
CWA/NETT Academy was formed in 2000 as the Communication Workers of America's
National Education and Training Trust, to provide training opportunities to CWA members and
their families, and to our military veterans and those on active duty in the military through
arrangements with the U.S. Department of Labor.

We have established partnerships with manufacturers, workforce systems, and distributors of
telecommunications and IT equipment, including Cisco Systems, for the purpose of developing
training on the newest technologies for our members. We have also partnered with Stanly
Community College in Albemarle, NC, an accredited institution, to administer our courses.
